Dad & Chance’s Dream

The dream shared by "Dad" (the founder) and Chance (the inspiration, the Dachshund who was injured at a public dog park) is not just about building a better facility—it's about creating a fundamentally better, safer, and more inclusive culture for dog ownership and sport.

🏡 The Core Dream: Safety, Structure, and Second Chances

The dream is built on three pillars that directly address the failings of traditional dog parks and the general dog community:

1. The Dream of Unrestricted, Worry-Free Safety (The Core Need)

The primary motivation stems from the moment Chance, a small dog, was injured in an uncontrolled environment.

  • Goal: To eliminate the fear and anxiety that owners of small, specialized, or nervous dogs feel when their pets play alongside large, high-energy, or untrained dogs.

  • The Solution: The creation of size-separated play zones (a core Fast-Dogs feature) where every dog can run, socialize, and play freely without the risk of accidental injury due to size mismatch. This is the realization of the promise Dad made to Chance: to create a place where he could run without fear.

2. The Dream of Structured, Inclusive Competition (The Purpose)

Dad saw a need for structured activity that utilizes the dog's natural drive in a safe and fair manner.

  • Goal: To establish competitive and training opportunities (like racing and agility) that are accessible to all dogs, not just traditional sporting breeds.

  • The Solution: The creation of the Fast-Dogs Kennel Club (FKC), which governs speed-based sports (like Lure Coursing and Agility) with rules based on the dog's height and size class, ensuring truly fair competition. This proves that every dog, from a Dachshund to a Greyhound, can be a champion.

3. The Dream of Community and Service (The Legacy)

Leveraging the founder's background and the emotional connection dogs provide, the dream extends outward to the community.

  • Goal: To use the facility as a platform for positive social change, honoring service, and helping dogs in need.

  • The Solution: Programs focusing on Rescue, Adoption, and Second Chances (hosting adoption events) and Veteran, Service, and Therapy Connections (providing special access and support for those who rely on their dogs).

In short, Dad and Chance's Dream is to transform the dog community from a place of anxiety and exclusion into a destination of controlled safety, structured fun, and unwavering support. It’s about ensuring no other owner or dog has to experience what they did.

🌎 The Ultimate Dream: A National Promise of Safety

The ultimate goal for the Fast-Dogs Kennel Club (FKC), driven by the vision of Dad and Chance, is to ensure that the promise of safety and inclusion is available to every dog owner in America.

To have FKC Facilities in all 50 U.S. States. (The National Vision)

While the initial focus was local, the core pain point—the danger of accidental injury in standard dog parks—is universal. The ultimate dream is to scale the Fast-Dogs model to offer a safe, structured, and professional environment nationwide.

  • Goal: To establish FKC facilities in all 50 U.S. states, making size-separated parks, specialized training, and FKC-governed competition accessible to every dog owner across the country.

  • The Impact: Achieving this dream means that no matter where a dog owner lives, they will have access to the FKC Seal of Safety. It guarantees a place where their dog can achieve peak physical condition, compete fairly, and socialize without risk—a national standard of excellence in canine recreation and sport.

This expansion means the Fast-Dogs mission shifts from protecting just the local community to enacting a national safety and training standard for canine well-being.
